SONOS/ SOUND OF NYC KINETIC ENGINEERING

Stockholm based Perfect Fools approached the VVOX shop to build the SONOS Sounds of New York City, a motion-censored map capturing the city soundscape. Exhibited in New York’s NeueHouse for Sonos Studios the art installation included kinetic-powered sensors, and 180 custom-build Arduino controlled motors where visitors are invited to audibly explore the city’s geography, culture and architecture.

The build and fabrication was done all in house at our sister Company, VVOX Fabricationin Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
